Global Air Quality Initiative
aboutus
We promote education on the quality of air in various locations in various nations in partnership with two major partners: Sensor.community, based in Stuttgart, Germany, and MISE operated by Dr. Wansoo Im. Our primary tools are teaching how to monitor air with inexpensive devices. Currently, we are focused on the USA, Mexico, South Korea, Costa Rica, Kenya, Niger. To monitor air, Sensor.community uses a device based around the popular Arduino platforms and some of the more advanced modules.
Our Goals
While we will continue to expand the two networks we are linked to that is Sensor.community and MISE, we want to create some initial research to compare air quality in our network. We have initially focused upon Particulate Matter (PM 2.5 and PM10 ). We hope to become involved in measuring other pollutants. Indoor air quality is potentially another area for expansion.
